Provided Mods

Below is information about mods bundled with Croc 2 Mod Loader.

Camera+

Adds extra camera modes to improve general gameplay and allow for easier exploration.

Orbit Camera:

A manually controllable orbiting camera. Use side step controls to tilt left/right and inventory controls to tilt up/down. Optionally turns as you move.

Freecam:

A camera detached from the player character that can pass through objects. Move around with movement controls. Use side step controls to tilt left/right and inventory controls to tilt up/down. Jump to raise and attack to lower the camera.

Change camera modes with [step left + step right + camera center / 180] or via the menu bar.

Coord Recall

Allows you to save and recall coordinates using hotkeys.

[F5 + 0-9] - Save your current position and rotation.

[0-9] - Recall a previously set position.

Additionally, allows you to manage saved positions via the menu bar.

Health Tweaks

Provides some quality of life health mechanics tweaks to attempt to make the game's infamously unforgiving health system easier to deal with.

Full Health On Retry:

Fully replenish health when retrying after a game over.

Full Health On Level Entry:

Fully replenish health when entering a level.

Restore Health:

Instantly replenish your health via a button available on the menu bar.

Infinite Hazard Bounce:

Bounce on hazards indefinitely without respawning. It still gradually depletes your health, but makes escaping from lava pits more forgiving.

Hello World

A dummy mod, useful for testing the mod loader and not much else.

Prints out a message to the log once loaded.

Additionally, can summon toast notifications via the menu bar.

Hover Redux

Brings back the hover glitch, just like in the first game.

Jump, then attack mid air and jump again to start a hover.

The distance travelled will depend on the timing: frame 11 is the sweet spot, frame 10 and 9 will grant you a smaller hover.

Enable Easy Mode in the config to always execute a perfect hover regardless of timing.

Music Restorer

Restores missing music from the console version of the game.

Requires providing your own JIceCave1.asf and JHub34.asf file.

NoClip Toggler

Allows you to noclip and fly around on demand.

Toggle with [step left + step right + attack] or via the menu bar.

Move around with directional keys, ascend with [jump], descend with [attack].

Render Extender

Allows you to increase the game's render distance past its limits.

Toggle with [F1]. Decrease and increase the render multiplier with [-] / [+].

Additionally, these can be configured via the menu bar.

Croc 2 FOV Fix

A mod that fixes your FOV at widescreen resolutions to prevent stretching. A must have for playing on modern displays. It's a standalone game mod, but you can put it in the mods/ folder to manage it with Croc 2 Mod Loader!
